The temperature was below freezing today. I decide to go grocery shopping with some friends. I take a shower, wash my hair and get ready to face the outside world with layers and layers of clothing. I leave my house rushing towards the bus stop. Twenty steps down the parking lot I raise my gloved hand to fix my hair. The strand of hair covering my left ear feels strange - I assume the reason to be my glove. I remove my glove without thinking and touch my hair. The same funny feel - it's hard - like I dipped it in something sweet. Then it hits me! My hair are frozen! Can you believe it? My hair - frozen! I want to laugh and share this piece of information with the gentleman standing at the bus stop. I control my amazement and wait for my friends who are crossing the street. They touch my hair on my insistence - and beg me to wear my woollen cap. I'm still in utter disbelief! I reach for my bag forcing myself to take out the cap. Thankfully the bus arrives! I feel my FROZEN hair for one last time as they warm back into normalcy inside the bus.
I like these new things very much. Afterall, how many people in the world, except for Rose and Jack, can say "I felt my hair freeze"! :)
Oh also, I fell down! This one is funny too. After all my fears of slipping in the snow covered streets outside, I end up falling in my living room! I just get up from the couch late at night thinking of going to bed - and I fall - probably tripping over my own foot! My body twists in the craziest way and end up crashing on the side table - chest hitting the edge with force and knee slamming into the couch. The knee is okay, chest hurts when I touch it, and the whole thing is still really funny!
My only thought after I recover from the initial shock is - "If only some one had recorded it, I would be on America's Funniest Videos"! You know those guys give $100 dollars to each video that is selected.
Not a bad idea for some extra pocket money!
