Brend's birthday cake got burnt - so I'm going now to get a new one. Her birthday is exactly a week away, but we're celebrating today since UU leaves tomorrow for India. It's going to be a surprise party - very late at night - and I'm hoping I stay active until then.

I started writing a new script - the one I thought of just after I saw "4 months, 3 weeks and 2 days" - a crude and unassuming story based on a personal encounter. I couldn't concentrate so I stopped - but I'm glad I got started on it.

I made a personal release form to get it signed by the subjects of my film - that confirms their participation and permission to let me use whatever I shoot. I realized the importance of it while I was making it. I should have done this with Asshole Aki - not that I would have forced him into cooperation because of the contract, but I could threaten to sue him and get my way every time thereafter. I was also thinking how these forms are quite irrelevant in India. Does anyone care about contracts? What if you don't act on it even after you sign it? Don't think much can be done then. I hope I'm wrong.

Apart from all this, I didn't do much today. A bit of cleaning up when Brend threatened to come over to borrow my swimsuit. I couldn't say no because I have a great time with her. The funny thing was that I had a brand new swimsuit for her lying in my cupboard that is supposed to be her gift tonight - and yet I had to dig out my old swimsuit that I have used exactly ONE time since I bought it last summer. For the uninitiated - I cannot swim, and I cannot cycle! Yes, these are the most surprising facts of my life - not for me, but for everyone else. I don't really care about it, though I would have liked to swim in the ocean, and cycle over the hill..

I've been feeling strange again.

Like standing on the edge.

Shuffling my feet.

Looking down.

Thinking.

*shocked* :-O

I don't think I ever met another girl who can neither swim nor cycle! Once I read that I forgot the rest of what I read in the post :-P Swimming, people can understand...but I get weird looks when I tell them I don't know how to ride a bicycle!
