So I didn't get to go to the DMV office to apply for the NY state ID - my ride had trouble with her phone, and then had to be somewhere else. She did come over for a bit, and we saw a really cool animation "Ryan". With my last night's experience of some animation, I thought I just don't get it. Thankfully, I really enjoyed the DVD that I just saw. It was very creative and refreshing. Animators have so much more freedom than live-action people - but their job is so much harder. There was a really cool shot of two people talking across a table from above the fan on the roof, which is difficult to achieve in live-action. For my documentary I was thinking of an overhead shot of Aki sitting on a bench outside, and the camera zooms out, out, out, finally coming to a map of US, and then the camera moves from US to India, and zooms in to Aki's home. I thought about using google maps - I don't know how else I achieve that - maybe After Effects or something.

I had so much to write when my laptop was sitting silently far away. Now I'm blank!
