Shit happens..

..and then there are other things.

Went to the American Museum of Natural History this afternoon after a good night's and half a day's rest. The museum is really cool, and not very big like the other art museums, so it was simpler to look around. It was only now, talking to my sis, that I realized that Ross works there - you know Ross, right? Ross Geller?

After all the space and evolution stuff, I went to the 47th street Theatre for Dai. The theatre was closed! I hope someone is suing them for giving out wrong information. Whatever. I decide to rush for a documentary film festival's opening film far away on the NYU campus. I reach half an hour late, and blindly follow a student type guy who is also rushing. I enter the pitch black theatre and take a seat, hoping the film did not already end. The lights come on, and I can't believe what I see. There are around a hundred students with their notebooks sitting all over the theatre, and a young professor like person standing in the front. It takes me a moment to realize, and another couple for it to sink in. I AM SITTING IN AN NYU FILM CLASS!

I consider my options - should I go back down and figure out where the docu screening is for which I was already late, OR should I just stay put and enjoy the French films the professor was going to focus on for today's class, and attend a fucking NYU film class! The answer was obvious. I saw some great scenes from famous French films I had heard of, but never seen. I saw a really cool film - a whole feature length film - with interesting insights provided by the prof - all for free! Am I lucky or what!

Had dinner at a regular pizza/pasta place. This guy at the pizza place had nothing better to do I guess, so he sat with me and we talked for over an hour. He was originally from Morocco, and was very interested in the Indian economy and politics, which inevitably led us to religion, my favorite subject! Came back early, and will go to bed earlier than usual.

Tomorrow might just be the previously postponed UN tour, some souvenir shopping, and then a documentary in the evening.

New dorm-mate arrived, alone and lost, much like myself four days ago. I thought of comforting him, but didn't.

Life is great in Gotham City - five whole days, and still not mugged! ;)

That's so cool! I admire your effort in spreading love for Friends. Talking of which, there has been a recent debate with a friend about who is more stupid - Joey or Phoebe. What do you think? Think carefully. Our friendship depends on this.
Also, who is your favorite character?

@daisy: you're saved! i agree. i think Phoebe is much smarter, and my favorite is Chandler. He's soooo funny - and i love that his complicated childhood is the reason for his crazy humor.
